The Healthy Kids Fair Sept 13 Offers Ideas for Our Children's Wellbeing

The Half Moon Bay Coastside Chamber of Commerce & Visitors’ Bureau and New Leaf Community Markets are proud to announce their 2nd Annual Healthy Kid’s Fair. Please join with other community members on Sunday, September 13 from 11:00AM to 3:00PM in the New Leaf parking lot. Some amazing new things added have been added this year to make last years’ great event even better.

The Fair will be a family event centering on healthy choices and a sustainable environment for the well being of our children’s future. There will be plenty for everyone to do with a variety of booths, a stage where dance and music groups will be showcased, a bouncy slide, New Leaf’s Scavenger Hunt, as well as activities in their new Community Classroom.

During the Fair, New Leaf will be selling a $5 “Build your own Rainbow Wrap.” This healthy lunch choice features donated local products such as California Lavash flatbreads and Haig’s Hummus. Children will be given the flatbread, hummus and a rainbow of assorted organic veggies provided by New Leaf to build their own fresh, power-packed lunch. New Leaf will donate a portion of the proceeds to Coastside charities. In addition to serving a healthy lunch, New Leaf will be hosting a store-wide scavenger hunt where kids will search the store to answer questions and earn prizes.

Pick up a FREE Healthy Kid’s Fair passport for your child (available at schools, in the Half Moon Bay Review, the library, and various other outlets). Then come to the fair and get it stamped at the various booths. When your child gets 10 or more stamps, he/she will receive a wristband which will allow them to go on a bouncy slide as many times as they wish.

New Leaf is located at 150 San Mateo Rd, Half Moon Bay. For more events in the new Community Classroom - a new resource for all to enjoy, visit
